The reaserch project CO2freeSNG2.0 was finished successfully and the final report has been approved. The publishable report was handed in in September 2017 and will be provided here as soon as it is published.
Final technical report handed in - March 2017
Marking the end of the CO2freeSNG2.0 project , the draft final technical report was handed in on 31.03.2017. The publishable report will follow within the next months.
Succesful operation of CO2freeSNG2.0 process chain with Heatpipe Reformer - October 2016
During the final tests the succesful coupling of the 100 kW Process chain test stand was performed at the chair of Energy Process Engineering (EVT), Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg. The process chain contained the 100 kW EVT Heatpipe Reformer, a carbonate scrubbing test stand and a slipstream fixed bed methanation reactor.
Parameter variations with bench scale process chain performed- June 2016
In June 2016 the bench scale process chain consisting of a lab scale gasifier, a Benfield scrubber, a fixed bed methanation (FAU) and a second step honeycomb methanation reactor (DVGW), was commissioned succesfully and a variety of parameter variations in gasification, scrubbing and methanation were performed.

CO2freeSNG2.0 Project meeting in Katowice, Poland - 30.01.2014
On January 27th, 2014 the first annual meeting, organized by Glowny Instytut Gornictwa (GIG), was held in Katowice, Poland. At chilly winter temperatures important topics about coal analysis and gasification were discussed. A tour though the laboratories of GIG gave an interesting insight in the coal analysis methodology. A delightful dinner concluded a successful project meeting in the heart of the Polish brown coal reservoir.

CO2freeSNG2.0 Kick-Off successful - 23.09.2013
On September 23rd, 2013 the research project CO2freeSNG2.0 was successfully started with a Kick-Off-meeting at the Chair of Energy Process Engineering of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität in Nuremberg, Germany.
During the meeting the project partners were introduced and the first steps for the work packages were discussed.
